Request for Eagle Scout Recognition Letter
Eagle Scout Name: Aaron Purewal
Address: 1105 Chuy Ct, Irving, Tx 75063
Troop 606
District Northstar
COH : 05/21/2017
Please see enclosed Scout Profile
I began my scouting career in Cub Scouts with Pack 606, in 1st grade and earned my Arrow of Light in 5th Grade, before crossing over to Troop 606.
I became the Den Chief to my Pack, for Webelos 1, learning how much I had grown, physically and emotionally, and realized that I was really impacting these Cubs as they looked up to me to be a good example. Then, I progressed to a Patrol Leader, followed by ASPL, and SPL. I did Oak Leaf training, followed by NYLT, and staffed Oak leaf as a SPL the following year. I also earned the Order of Arrow.
As a Scout I earned 50 MBs, from Lifesaving, Wilderness survival to Aviation and numerous Awards: Mile Swim, Historic Trail, Donor Awareness, World Conservation, Good Deed Award, and Keep America Beautiful award, Outdoor Ethics Award and was especially proud to complete all five of the National Outdoor Awards, including Aquatics, Conservation, Camping, Adventure and Hiking. I also was awarded the Emergency Preparedness Award. I received the Presidential Gold Award for service for 2014 and 2015.
My Eagle Project involved renovating a Prayer Area at the local church, a place of my first preschool. I removed all old bushes and pebbled pathway to replace it with a tree hugger bench, slabbed pathway, and solar bricked lighting as the edging to the landscaping with 20 proven winners plants to give it some color. I dedicated my project to a fellow scout, Christian Sanchez, who lost his life at Northern Tier. He was so full of Joy, and I hope his spirit will spread that Joy to all of the 600 congregation who enjoy this area. It gave me an opportunity to give back to the community where I started my formal education, and inspired me take on challenges head on.
I love outdoors and always loved our campouts from climbing, to canoeing, to zip lining. My trek to Philmont was definitely a highlight of my outdoor experiences. I have made lifelong friends and mentors that are always there for me.
Currently I am a sophomore, and in the process of applying to Texas Academy of Math and Science, at UNT, where I would be taking college courses while completing my last two years of high school. I am involved in numerous extra curriculum. I enjoy competing in Taekwondo, where I have earned a Black Belt. I was accepted in to MENSA, the high IQ society. I play Saxophone in the School Band, and have completed in many district competitions. I am a striker on the Varsity Soccer team. I am involved in JWAC, enhancing my world view and how we can impact it. I was selected for National Academy of Future Scientists and Technology. I have been involved and in charge of many youth events at my church, and in my community working with the HOA.
Last summer I did research in Material Sciences at UNT, which highlighted my skills when it came to be practical, meticulous and attention to small detail, as well as a contributory team member.
My plans after TAMS would be to go to a four-year college, while getting a STEM education, to minor in Film editing. I have not narrowed down exactly what I want to do after college, but technology and filmography will play some role.
I want to emphasize my experience in Scouting, which may not be the norm, although I have been with troop 606, I have worked with many other troops for MBs, like Shotgun, or training for Philmont or Summer Aquatic Camp, and in my experience, I have always been received with open arms and open hearts by the scouts and the scout master, and all have left a lasting impression. They follow up with me on how I am progressing and to run my project proposal by them before submitting it, and followed up on the day of my project.
They taught me that it is not about badges and patches, it is about forming character, and building a community that you become part of. I plan to continue to give back to the community that has taught me how to open my heart to others.
I no longer see things in Scouting, or outside Scouting, as I have been instilled with the scouting laws, which I apply in all parts of my life. I have adopted a spot from my city, to keep litter free. I have worked with the city on many occasions, requesting crime watch signs, stop signs, and no U-turn signs to make our neighborhood safer. I have worked with our House Representative Honorable Kenny Marchant, to Propose a bill for Donor Awareness.
This has become part of my daily life and will always continue to help my community, and my scouting community to inspire others like it did for me.

Dear Alex,
My daughter will turn 15 next september and after my introduction she was completely in love with you, your work, and the whole Hawaii 5.0 team.
Accessing Netflix she has seen all the episodes of Hawaii 5.0 so far and looks forward to the new episodes.
On October 6th we will have a birthday party for her because this is her dream. I know your presence would be impossible, and knowing that, would it be possible for you and the whole cast to record a short video so we could pass on to her and all the guests during the party?
I believe it will be a moment of great emotion for her and of course a big surprise.
Thanks in advanced.

Hi Lizzie, how are you?
Could you help me?
I have sent the letter since April 15, and to date I have received no notification whether the letter has arrived or not. Post offices here in Brazil unfortunately do not tell me exactly whether they received the letter or not.
Is there any mail or telephone that I can communicate with them and know if they have received my letter?
Thanks for your help. This is very important to me.

No, sorry that’s the only address we have. But it does take a while because they’re on hiatus till the end of the month. So just hang on a little bit longer.

It’s my mother in laws birthday, she (Gina Heitzenrater) is in love with Hawaii 5-0. She says Steve McGarret is her favorite, and she is turning 50 on Saturday the April 29th. We want Steve to come tell her/ or email her, and welcome her to the 5-0 task force (because she is 50). Would this be something’s we can make happen?

Do I have to send a picture? I am not sure how to get one without it being expensive. I didn’t know if Alex O’Loughlin was one of the celebrities that included their own promo pics. Many Thanks!
